| Abstract | Cloud computing has become a fundamental component of modern digital infrastructures, providing scalable, flexible, and cost-effective computing resources for organizations across various sectors. The increasing adoption of cloud services has enabled efficient data storage, processing, and sharing; however, it has also introduced significant challenges related to data security, privacy, integrity, trust management, and scalability. Traditional centralized cloud architectures often suffer from vulnerabilities such as unauthorized access, insider threats, data breaches, and single points of failure. Consequently, organizations are seeking innovative approaches to enhance the security and reliability of cloud-based data management systems. Blockchain technology has emerged as a transformative solution for addressing these challenges. By utilizing decentralized ledgers, cryptographic security mechanisms, consensus algorithms, and smart contracts, blockchain provides secure, transparent, immutable, and trustworthy environments for managing cloud data. The integration of blockchain and cloud computing offers new opportunities for secure data storage, decentralized access control, auditability, privacy preservation, and scalable resource management. This study investigates blockchain-based secure and scalable data management frameworks for cloud computing applications. The research examines blockchain architectures, distributed ledger technologies, consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, cryptographic techniques, decentralized storage systems, and scalability enhancement strategies. Furthermore, the study evaluates implementation challenges, performance considerations, organizational benefits, and future research directions associated with blockchain-enabled cloud data management. A descriptive and analytical research methodology supported by questionnaire surveys, comparative analysis, case study evaluation, and secondary literature review has been adopted. Findings indicate that blockchain-based frameworks significantly improve data integrity, transparency, trust, and access control while enhancing resilience against cyber threats. However, challenges related to scalability, interoperability, transaction latency, energy consumption, and regulatory compliance remain critical concerns. The study concludes that blockchain-enabled cloud data management frameworks represent a promising paradigm for next-generation cloud computing ecosystems. |
